It is hand-made from clay collected in traditional places, hand built, the design painted on with a yucca leaf and colored clay slips, and then fired in an open-pit firing process. The aging is gorgeous - wonderful patina. This Acoma pot is striking -- lovely designs, black/brown on white background. The top of the rim has impressions painted with orange slip.
