Ancient MIMBRES Black and White "Gravy" Bowl w/ Kill Hole. Original Bill of Sale / Provenance - ESTATE. Very unique ancient Mimbres black and white pottery bowl. Highly unusual design with abstract lines supposedly to represent lightening.

My friend collected ancient pottery over his entire life and all pieces include documentation as to where and when they were dug and obtained. I know nothing about describing the condition or quality of these pieces - including lots of photos for you to make a proper educated evaluation.

Bowl comes with bill of sale from the original owner with regarding location and date of excavation / Statement of Disclosure Regarding American Indian Artifacts. According to the bill of sale related to this exact bowl: Described as: Mimbres Bowl Geometric Design Black on White "Lightening Rod". 5" High by 8" in Diameter. Says it was found on private property in New Mexico with address + Owners Name + Date of Excavation = October 22, 1983. Will be posting additional ancient pottery from this estate.
