It has the appropriate amount of wear for a vintage Rain God. I have had this in my personal collector for over 30 years.
This piece of Tesuque Pueblo pottery measures 5 1/2" high, 2 5/8" wide & 3 deep. It has a nice patina on the cream colored slip. The Rain God has an open mouth, slit eyes & nostrils. He's holding a bowl. It's decorated with terra cotta & yellow designs that are outlined on black. He has a large Whirling Log, Good Luck pattern on the top of his head. It's an unusual Tesuque Rain God & will make a special addition to any Native American pottery collection. Be sure to check out my other Native American pottery that I have listed.
