She was raised by her aunts Maria Martine z and Desideria Montoya and learned her skills from them. She was declared a National Treasure by the Nixon administration and won first place at the Santa Fe Indian market 20 times. It's a truly unique collectors piece! As you travel around the pot the etched design tells a story of nature with musical notes, a bear, bird, fish, waves, feathers and a flower.

It measures a whopping 14"tall and 16" wide! There are no chips or cracks and it's signed on the bottom. There are a few small barely noticeable blemishes in the etched spots that, from what I've been told, are not unusual for this type of pottery. I've included pictures of them. It's a breathtaking olla that will be a joy to display in your home!
