Catawba Indian Pottery King Hagler Effigy Pot by Earl Robbins

Catawba Indian Pottery King Hagler Effigy Pot by Earl Robbins. Available for sale is a Earl Robbins King Hagler Effigy Pot. This piece is from the Thomas J Blumer Collection and is among one of several pieces that he acquired from the Catawba. Tom had a close relationship with many of the potters on the Reservation; however, Earl Robbins, Nola Campbell, and Georgia Harris were very dear to Tom and Tom was dear to them.

About half of Tom's pottery resides in the archive of the Native American Studies Center in Lancaster, SC. The other half, about 1000 pcs, are here with me at our home in Columbia. One on Tom;s life and life's work and the other on Tom's passion for art, both collecting it and creating it. This Piece measures: 8.25 high and 8.5 inches from nose to nose.

It is signed and dated by Earl Robbins. There is a remnant of a sticker on the bottom of the pot. Study the photos as they are a key part of the description.
