Early TESUQUE RAIN GOD POTTERY FIGURE w SHELL HEISHI NECKLACE, c. This is a rare early Tesuque Pueblo pottery rain god figure with the original shell heishi necklace, circa 1900 to 1930s, or so.
Rain god is 6 3/4 high, and it is made of typical Tesuque buff colored clay with a pale pinkish white slip.
