THIS OFFERING IS FOR Hopi 7 in H x 9 in D Migration Feather Pottery by Vernida Polacca Nampeyo. ALL WEIGHTS & MEASUREMENTS ARE APPROXIMATE. This Hopi pot was hand coiled and hand painted by Vernida Polacca Nampeyo , a member of the Kachina Clan at Hopi/Tewa.

Vernida is the great-granddaugther of Nampeyo, a granddaughter of Fannie Polacca Nampeyo, and a great Hopi potter in her own right. Her favorite design is migration patterns, and also eagle tails and clown faces. The present pot is a signature work by Vernida bearing the migration pattern that was often also favored by the great potters who were her ancestors. This is a large pot measuring 7 inches tall by 9 inches in diameter. It is in mint condition with no defects of any kind and it is signed by Vernida.
