She is one of the most famous of the Hopi Pueblo potters. She is the second Frog Woman. Her mother, Paqua Naha, was the first Frog Woman. Paqua Naha signed her pottery with a frog having toes and Joy Navasie used a frog with webbed feet. This wedding vase measures 8" x 3 1/2" It is in Excellent condition with no chips, cracks repairs. JOY NAVASIE learned the skills to create traditional, handcoiled pottery from her famous mother. Paqua Naha developed the white ware pottery style and Joy Navasie continued using that style until she retired in 1995.
