Her mother, Paqua Naha (First Frogwoman), is credited with pioneering this style of white slip Hopi pottery. Joy was instructed in pottery making by her mother and has carried on the legacy. She continued developing the technique to its present state of near perfection, and has instructed her family members in the skills involved in making these exquisite creations.
This piece features geometric designs that are derived from ancient decorations found on potsherds around the Hopi reservation. As a special bonus, this piece also includes a picture of Frogwoman holding this pot in her hands. The pot measures 6.25 inches high by 8 inches in diameter, and is signed by Joy's characteristic frog figure. WE LEAVE FAIR AND HONEST FEEDBACK VERY SOON AFTER RECEIVING THE SAME.
