CAROL LUCERO GACHUPIN is from the JEMEZ PUEBLO. The Lucero family is well-known for their traditional Jemez pottery. Carol Lucero Gachupin was inspired to learn the art of handcoiling pottery by the famous potter, Marie Romero.

Carol Lucero Gachupin states that she loves making storytellers because it reminds me of my grandparents telling us stories when we were growing up. The Storytellers she creates have a lifelike quality to them. This Standing Storyteller measures 9 1/2 tall.
