This is a wonderful Large hand coiled Native American Acoma pottery Pot in Excellent condition. It has great Geometric designs along with two big Parrot birds to highlight this beauty. Which are the initials and signature of Irma Maldonado , daughter of Santana Antonio, and the mother of Iona K Chino, all good quality Potters and sought after for their works. Also marked Acoma NM (New Mexico, which is part of the United States). This pot stands 8" tall and is 8.5" at its widest point, and 2.75 in diam at its narrowest point at the base.

This family line of Pottery makers runs from the famous Santana Antonio (1915), daughter of Irma Maldonado (1932), whose daughter is. So Irma has been active since well before the 60's.

Their Work can be found in various galleries to include: Rio Grande Wholesale, Inc. Palms Trading Co, and Albuquerque.
