Measuring 2 1/2 inches high and 2 5/8 inches in diameter this sgraffito pot shows three images plus a backround image with embedded turquoise eye. A very unique work weighing 5.4 ounces. Mae Tapia-Suazo was born into Santa Clara Pueblo in 1956. Her mother, Santanita Suazo, says Mae became interested in working with clay at seven years old when Santanita taught her the fundamentals of making pottery.
