Marie Z. Chino Native American Pottery Vessel Bear Handle Acoma New Mexico
Chino, Native American Potter from Acoma Pueblo, New Mexico created and signed this traditional painted Vessel with a Bear Handle. Measurements: 7 high with lid on. 6 1/2 wide counting the bear handle. 4 1/2 diameter at its widest. 2 5/8 diameter of top opening. Condition: Minor wear from age, scratches and scuffs. There is minor pitting in the glaze. The black rim has some scratches with paint missing, however, this is not visible with the lid on. I have acquired a large collection of Native American carvings, sculptures and pottery recently, there are over 50 fetishes, many sculptures and about 50 pieces of Native pottery, I will be listing it all in the next 2 months starting with the fetishes.
