Native American Storyteller by Cochiti Pueblo potter Martha Arquero. Martha Arquero was born into the Cochiti pueblo in 1944 and learned the art from her mother Damacia Cordero. Martha specializes in hand made sculptures such as frogs, mermaids and nativities using only natural clay and pigments from berries or vegetables and minerals. The color on this piece is unique having an overall grey pigment to the clay and she features six babies with hand painted detail. Dimensions: 4" t x 3" x 2.
