I make no claims of this items Authenticity. This is a medium sized very well-made Mississippian Effigy bowl. It exhibits the surface Sheen and exterior coloration patina has the correct style in features correct opening pit firing visible surface.
It shows the correct patterns for open fire and it definitely has the surface aging and deterioration that you would expect from a piece of this age. From my understanding in the research that I have done this is around 1200 to 1600 AD for age. There has been some remodeling.
