Old Vintage Hopi Shallow Bowl, very Unusual design L@@K

This piece comes from the first half of the last century, pre-WWII. Condition-wise, you'll notice wear to the monochromatic design and the beige slip.

Isolated white areas in the lower design, photo #1, are pops from wear or possibly spalling; they are fairly shallow and stable. There is a small area, photo #5, where a piece of the slip came off; it measures 1/4 tall and high. You will also notice in photos #2 and #3 that the rim is VERY asymmetric, not level to the eye. This zoomorphic design form is not common; I saw it years ago on a polychrome piece but could get no information.

It almost appears to be running at you. Perhaps it is a variant of a katcina, I can't tell, but it is an old piece.
