RARE! Santa Clara Pueblo Pottery ROSE M. LEWIS Avanyu Pot 4 3/4 x 5 1/4

VERY RARE Santa Clara Pueblo (Tewa - Kha' Po Owingeh) Pottery - pot by ROSE M. This is a Santa Clara carved Avanyu water-serpent bowl by ROSE M. This lovely black pot measures approximately 5 1/4" high x 4 3/4" wide. This bowl is decorated with a deeply carved Avanyu water serpent ; Avanyu is full of movement as he wraps around the body of the bowl; There is a stabilized 2 hairline crack that can be see in picture 9. Rosemary Lewis is from Santa Clara Pueblo.
