For sale is this polychrome jar from Myron Garcia with a crimped edge and fishing birds, we will call them herons. Myron distinguishes himself from other Acoma potters with his designs in particular birds and wildlife motif.
Beautiful glossy finish and crisp paint. Myron hand coils and paints in the tradition of Acoma potters by using old pot fragments and gathered materials from Acoma lands. This pot has been repaired. A piece about 2 in diameter blow out and was repaired likely happened during firing. The repair was an excellent job and is seen in the photos. We are pleased to post some pieces of a wonderful collection of Acoma Pueblo pottery.
