Very RARE Original Antique Native American "Wedding" Pottery. D ESCRIPTION: Scans show it all..... I'm not an expert in this area, but I was told that this was an antique Southwest Native American blackware pottery "Wedding" ceremonial pitcher. Has a great look and I do not believe it is newer than 1890 or older. Looks like liquid can be poured out of either side from the main vessel.Made of black or tinted clay. Has great lines, as shown. Both spouts are in nice condition. Handle also is in excellent condition. A fine age crack on one side of the handle; the handle is solid, but it is there and I wouldn't go lifting it to raise the piece. I'm sure it can be repaired, IF DESIRED, by an experienced person. Otherwise I would rate it very good or better. Measures about 9" from end to end, about 7" from side to side, and about 8 high. Real nice decoration on the sides, as shown, in nice condition. I have never seen anything like this, and it is a great piece for any native American collection or for display on a mantle or on a shelf.
