Marcellus is the son of Rafael Medina and of Sofia Medina, of Zia. Elizabeth Medina was born in the Jemez Pueblo.

She married into the Zia Pueblo where she was inspired by her Mother-in-Law, Sofia Medina to learn the art of pottery. Marcellus and Elizabeth Medina have won many awards such as The 1984, 1986, 1988, 1991, 1992, 1998 and 2000 Santa Fe Indian Market. They are featured in the book "Fourteen Families of Pueblo Pottery" " Talking With The Clay" and "Southern Pueblo Pottery"among others. Approximate size: 1-3/4" x 1-3/4".
