1930 Navaho American Native Indian Cowan Pottery signed by artist F. Luis Mora

Has crazing and a few tiny, tiny chips possibly called flea bites? One tiny chip on bottom left side (see pic) and a couple on head and arms. Looks like most of the chips are only in the glaze and not a chunk out of the clay. Statue measures 10" high x 6" wide.. Mora, who studied in Boston and New York and worked throughout the United States, depicted American Indians at various points in his career. (July 27, 1874 June 5, 1940), was a Uruguayan-born. Mora worked in watercolor, oils and tempera. He produced drawings in pen and ink, and graphite; and etchings and monotypes. He is known for his paintings and drawings depicting American life in the early 20th century;ish life and society; historical and allegorical subjects; with murals, easel painting and illustrations. He also was a popular art instructor.
