This is a traditionally hand made and painted in slips of local clays. The well known artist is Dave Antonio, Acoma Pueblo, New Mexico. The small hole in the top indicates seed pot as use, the shape is small at the base and expands toward the top and is signed on the bottom. Approximate measurements: 8" major diameter, 5.5" height.

The oldest inhabited community in North America - the Acoma Pueblo, also known as "sky city". Located approximately one hour west of Albuquerque, NM, this is where the Acoma people have lived for centuries, producing an inspiring wealth of culture and art.
