Antique mid-19thC Western Native American Zia Pueblo Indian Historic Pottery Pot. We also found that this pot is not Zuni but Zia.

You never know what you might find, at 5 o'clock on a Sunday morning, at a small New Hampshire Flea Market. When I shined my flashlight inside a truck that was unpacking I could just see the thin rim of this pot sticking out of some crumpled newspaper in a cardboard box. You can imagine by excitement when the owner handed me this 11" diameter by 10 ½" tall, Mid-19th century, Zis Historic Pottery Pot.

Even in the poor light I could see that it was in original condition with a very old untouched surface. There are a couple of very tiny chips to the top rim, but the rest of the pottery is original and this pot rings when I tap it. Once I got home I resisted the temptation to lightly wash this pot. The surface is untouched and from the 19th century.
