Beautiful Hopi seed jar by Fawn Navasie. Jar measures 5" H by 6 " W. Pottery has repeated feather designs on a buff finish. Technically difficult to make a jar with such a small bottom. Pottery is in good condition with no cracks or scratches.

Pottery is signed "Fawn" with her hall mark hoof print. Fawn Navasie is the niece of Frog Woman, daughter of Eunice "Fawn" Navasie and sister of Dolly and Dawn Navasie. Fawn is an accomplished potter who has won numerous awards at major native american art shows (Santa Fe and Heard). She is mentioned in Schaft's Hopi Tewa Potters and Dillingham's Fourteen Families in Pueblo Pottery. All of Fawn's potteries are made strictly in the traditional manner and fired outdoors (note blush on pottery). Whether you are a seasoned collector or a novice...
