Welcome to The Estate Store. We bring you the old, the unusual, the eclectic, and the rare from southern Arizona estates. Collectables and artifacts from distant places and distant times. Check back often to see our latest finds! We now present this recent find: From a Tucson, Arizona collector's estate. Huge older Acoma Pueblo pottery pitcher. Structurally good condition: no chips or cracks. This pitcher has a strong geometric design that fits its large size very well.
It is a commanding visual presentation, and makes a great "statement" piece. Note the unique handle treatment.
The base has Acoma N. There are many surface defects: some dirty areas and some paint that has flaked off. I have tried to photograph every surface of the pitcher.I also have some other photos available. The cost is due to the oversized boxes necessary to pack the pot.
I share your health concerns. I hand sanitize first and then handle the product and packing materials wearing latex gloves. You might consider the additional precaution of leaving the package unopened perhaps in your car or garage for 48 hours (which appears to be how long the virus lasts on porous surfaces such as cardboard and paper).
