We have so many new items to list--seems as if people are cleaning during the quarantine. From McCoy Pottery, 1954, comes this Native American (Chief Pontiac) cookie jar. The story goes that McCoy designed this Jar originally for Pontiac Motors. They submitted prototype samples but the project was not approved.

McCoy decided to tweak the design a little for them selves and released it in their own production offering of Cookie Jars. Thus the name "Chief Pontiac". Done in the birchwood glazing technique, this piece stands 11" high with lid and 8.5" without lid. In very good condition and scarce. We are a local shop in Jefferson City Missouri who lists items for persons in our community--primarily for folks who are downsizing, lost a parent or spouse, or just don't want to work with the computer themselves.
