Janelle Dae Nichols Gilley, of Eastern Shawnee, Wyandot, Chippewa Indian descent, was born on October 9th 1953. Janelle is registered by the U. Dept of the Interior-Indian Arts and rafts Board. Her art has been shown in numerous galleries and exhibitions throughout the Pacific Northwest as well as Arizona and North Carolina. I love art, it helps take me away from the pain incurred from SLE (systemic lupus erythematosus), Sjogren's, fibromyalgia, and the complications arising from them.

When I create art, I can fly, dance, sing, and explore my diverse cultural background, all without leaving my bed.
