Beautiful pottery bowl by famed artist Joy Navasie known as 2nd Frogwoman. She was a Native American potter from the Hopi Pueblo.

This pot is made by traditional methods using natural clay and pigments. It is handmade, hand coiled, hand polished inside and out and hand painted. Her Hallmark signature is a frog with webbed feet.

She learned pottery making from her mother, Paqua Naha, 1st Frogwoman. This bowl has a white kaolin slip background, then painted with black (beeweed) and accented with red clay. It is decorated with four panels of bird feather designs. It is a classic shape and design.

Condition: No cracks, chips, or repairs. Minor scuffs and or blemishes in spots.
