Native American Kewa Pueblo Aguilar (Santo Domingo) Polychrome Storage Jar
Santo Domingo Polychrome Storage Jar. Here is an excellent example of early Santo Domingo Native American Pottery. This Olla/Storage Jar was obtained in 1930 by my Grandmother in Arizona. A classic design, and still quite bright for the age.

This Olla/Storage Jar has the " Spirit Path". This jar is 6 3/4" inches tall, 8" inches in diameter at the bulge, narrows to a 5 1/2" top opening, with a 3" in diameter indented bottom. There are two small (1/2inch) fissures close to the top edge. These fissures are surface and not through to the inside.

There is some surface wear close to the bottom. The one picture showing the inside appears to have a spider crack, I assure you that it is not.

I do not know what caused that mark. This Olla/Storage Pot is in great shape for the age. Please view all photos for your own assessment of condition. Thank you for viewing this item. We describe our listings as realistic as possible noting both good points and bad.
