This red clay vase is not glazed on the inside and is not meant to hold liquid. It is 7-1/4 inches tall and is 5-3/4 inches wide.
It has hand painted and etched. It is done in a beautiful rainbow of colors, green, white, blue and cream color with red clay under the etching. Hilda Whitegoat is a full Blooded Native American Navajo. She was born in 1967 into the Navajo Nation. Hilda was inspired to continue the long lived tradition of working with art by observing her sister, Susie Charlie, work on her pottery. Susie is credited with pioneering the popular Navajo etched pottery and has shared the techniques with Hilda. Hilda paints on ceramic pottery and uses a sharp blade to hand etch each piece. She signs her work "Hilda Whitegoat, Navajo". If purchasing multiple items please request an invoice for the total amount due.
