The storyteller reminds us of the importance of sharing with our children about who we are and the traditions of our heritage. Mary studied under Helen Cordero who was featured in the September 1982 issue of the National Geographic as the creator of the storyteller. Marys first storyteller was created in 1980. Excellent condition, no pits, cracks, chips only bottom scuffing from movement on shelves over time.
This piece was made in1991. Signed Mary and Leonard Trujillo, Cochiti Pueblo on bottom. Approximately 6" wide from arm to arm x 7" high. This Storyteller would make a great addition to any Collection.
