Native American Pottery Woodland Culture

Native American Pottery Woodland Culture? This is one of two clay pots I have listed. Both were found in the 1960s together in the crawlspace when we were salvaging a small turn of the century farm house near Hardin, Illinois. I was told one was for water and the other for food both of them are from the woodland era.

Both pots were fully intact however this particular one, I'm told, suffered freeze damage. We often list unique items that only a qualified experienced collector or expert of trade can fully understand.
