Native American Santa Clara Pueblo NewMexico Pottery by Artist Stella Chavarria

An absolutely beautiful pot created by one of Santa Clara's most respected and renown artist, Stella Chavarria. Hand Coiled, deeply incised with sharp carvings, this pot reflects years of experience which began in 1955. This piece is in great condition; please look at pictures carefully. There are some minor signs of wear. There are no chips, cracks or restorations. Measures 4" in height by 5 1/2" in diameter.

Award winning potter, Stella Chavarria born 1939 is the daughter of the famed Santa Clara potter Teresita Naranjo. Stella Chavarria's work is in every major book published on Native American pottery.

She has been in dozens of exhibitions dating back to the 1970's as well as featured in the major collections in the Heard Museum. Her pottery has also been exhibited at the Seven Families in Pueblo Pottery at the Maxwell Museum, Trail of Tears Gallery in Atlanta, McGee's Indian Den in Scottsdale, adn the Graphic Image in Milburn, New Jersey.
