LUCY MCKELVEY is from the NAVAJO NATION (DINE') and has some HOPI ancestry. She is of the Tlashchi (Red Bottom) Clan and has been creating traditional handcoiled pottery for more then 30 years. LUCY MCKELVEY is a self taught potter who was influenced by ceremonies and the traditional teachings of her grandfather and great grandmother. She has won many awards for her unique and fantastic pottery. She is listed in several publications related to Native American art. You can find her pottery in many major collections including the Hear Museum, The Denver Museum of Natural History, The Lane Allen Collection, The Smithsonian, The Raymond James Financial Institution Collection and more.

This piece measures 11" x 1 3/4". It is in Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, repairs etc.
