Arthur Tequaecshe (March 6, 1936 - present) is an artist, potter, and art instructor. As a Pueblo Indian, most of the inspiration for his hand-carved pottery and pen-and-ink drawings comes from his heritage. As a child, born on a reservation in New Mexico, he was named Little Elk, but later changed his name to "Tequaecshe, " which is Little Elk in his native language. The name Arthur was given to him when he served in the Marine Corps.
He also received a bachelor's and master's degree in Mass Communication from Arizona State University. Tequaecshe oversaw Studio 19, a part of the Licking County Art Association.
