This beautiful Native American pot, the traditional black on black San Ildefonso pottery, the shiny surface is a result of burnishing, polishing the leather hard clay with a smooth stone before it is fired. Signed "Alfred Aquila San Ildefonso Pueblo New Mexico" Measures 3 3/4" wide and 1 1/4" tall.

It is in very good condition with some scratches on surface but no cracks or chips. Please take a look at all photos, most all the surface scratches are on the top. Alfred Aguilar (born 1933), also called Sa Wa Pin, is a Pueblo-American potter, ceramicist, and painter from the San Ildefonso Pueblo tribe.
