Proudly Presented today is this quietly beautiful, Santa Clara etched design jar. It is 4 inches in diameter and 2 and a half inches tall. It was made by Robert Naranjo, of Santa Clara Pueblo. Robert is a very well-known artist, and has won 7 awards at the annual Santa Fe. He specializes in delicately etched illustration of traditional Santa Clara polished black pottery.

In this excellent example of his work, the design depicts 4 beautifully etched bison, each one connected by deer tracks. This piece was created in 1995, and has been in a glass case for 25 years.
