This is a museum quality Piece. This beautifully shaded and shaped pottery bowl was made by the matriarch of the Aguilar family in Santo Domingo Pueblo. Rafaelita and the rest of the Aguilar clan are known for making some of the largest pottery vessels in the pueblo. This piece has a beautiful bulbus shape and wonderous polish.
It is painted in light red slip with traditional, broad geometric design work. The piece is signed on the bottom it is a little hard to see but it definitely there.
