Signed ROSE GONZALES San Ildefonso Pueblo NM Carved Redware Pottery PLATE 1938

Offered in this sale is a very nice carved native American redware pottery charger - dish - that was made by Rose Gonzalez in San Ildefonso New Mexico in 1938. It is marked on the back ROSE and is also marked with a black ink comment that reads ROSE GONZALEZ SAN ILDEFONSO 1ST PRIZE GALLUP 1938. The dish alone measures roughly 11 1/2" in diameter x 1 1/2" deep.

It is mounted on a frame that measures roughly 16 3/8 square. This comes with an appraisal certificate that was done in 1995.
