Southwestern Storyteller Nativity Scene in Clay. Created by Jo Venia of the Sandia PuebloTribe, New Mexico. Signed and dated'89 by the artist. This beautiful and unique Southwestern Storyteller style nativity scene in shades of cream, blue, and black is made up of. Baby Jesus in basket; Mary in cream & blue robe; Joseph in black robe; Shepherd in black with blue robe holding a straw cane. There is also cute brown donkey; an adorable cream lamb and an Angel praying to the heavens, in blue robe with necklace.

Completing out the set are three wisemen; One in blue, holding drum; One in cream, holding gourd; and One in blue, holding black pottery. Mary, Joseph, Wisemen, Angel, and Shepherd all have the Southwestern Storyteller open mouths and closed eyes. There was originally a genuine rabbit fur mat to display this set on, it had severely degraded and was discarded; therefore, it is not included with this sale.
