Vintage ACOMA PUEBLO Vase Pottery Signed by LUCY M. Lewis was from the Acoma Pueblo and was the last of the Acoma matriarchs. She was largely responsible for the revival of black and white designs on traditional handcoiled Acoma pottery. Many of these designs are more then 1000 years old. When creating her pottery, Lucy M.
Lewis followed pueblo traditions in every step of her pottery making, from prayers during each step, handcoiling and outdoor firing of her pottery. This beautiful vase measures approx.
4 1/2" x 3 3/4". Overall it is in really good condition with no cracks or repairs. It does have a few small chips (see pics).
