This is a Native American Jemez vase by Pauline Romero. Measures approx 3.25" tall x 5.5" wide. This is a prime example of her elegantly lined pots with superbly polished tanware.

It has a swirled melon shape yet maintains the traditional building techniques. Jemez potter Pauline Romero made this lovely vase.

Anita "Pauline" Romero was born into the Jemez Pueblo in 1962. When she was a teenager, Pauline began learning the traditional Jemez Pueblo methods of pottery making from her grandmother, Lupe M. Romero, as well as, from her mother Persingula R. Pauline is award-winning potter and is known for her graceful, refined lined works.
