Vintage, beautifully hand crafted, hand painted pottery by Warren Coriz, Kewa (Santo Domingo) Pueblo. Dimensions are 7.5" round and 3" deep. Warren Coriz didn't start making pottery until he was in his 30's.
He learned through watching his wife, Ione Coriz, and working with his mother-in-law and Robert Tenorio. Warren took home a 2nd Place ribbon at the Eight Northern Pueblos Arts and Crafts Show in 2005, then took two 1st Place ribbons in 2006. He developed a technique which lends a 3D shadow effect to his designs, making them really stand out from more traditional Santo Domingo pottery.Warren passed away in August, 2011.
